Michael Hightower

Michael is an old soul. He has very traditional sensibilities, and he holds himself to rather high standards. He takes himself a little too seriously, which can be off-putting to those around him. It’s rare to see him show any outward signs of losing his cool—though he does get frustrated when people don’t listen to him.

Protective of the people important to him, Michael can be a bit overbearing, but he enjoys doting on them with gifts and favors. He does not tolerate it when anyone messes with his circle.

When his friends Tasha Gniewek and Colby Linwood went missing, Michael and his cousin moved back to their hometown of Silent Pines to track them down.

Michael transferred into Silent Pines High School as a Junior during the first week of the school year.

Among Michael’s passions are cars, music, and a classical aesthetic. He’s more comfortable reading old scientific tests in the original Latin than he is at a nightclub or bar. He’s highly intelligent and enjoys intellectual discourse.

Once upon a time, Michael liked to draw, but he hasn’t picked up a sketchpad in years and years.

Michael took a painfully obvious interest in Julian Hollinger almost the moment they met. His relationship with her best friend, Angela Mercy, has been more fraught; it started off well, but swiftly took a nosedive.

Leo Lanier, his cousin, was also once Michael’s best friend… but something has gone awry between the two, and there’s palpable friction whenever they interact.

Michael lives in his old family home with Leo and with David Hightower, his blood relative. As far as the public is concerned, Michael is David’s half-brother.
