Terms of Service and Rules

You must be 18 or older to join. World of Silent Pines is a forum for adults seeking a site that caters to 18+ RPers, but not necessarily EXPERIENCED or EROTIC RPers. Our aim is to provide a site with a unique setting for adults to relax and play with other adults, where they can romance or smut freely without having to worry about legalities or awkwardness. If you are found to be lying about your age, you will be banned until your 18th birthday.

Characters of any age are allowed, but any sexual scenarios involving characters under 16 are strictly prohibited. This includes children being present during sexual situations (even if not directly involved) and explicit flashbacks, but does not include references to scenarios that occurred when the character was underage or to non-explicit flashbacks. Try to keep it tasteful, and if you're not sure whether something is okay, please ASK. First-time offenders will receive a warning and removal of their content; repeat offenders will be permanently banned from the forum.

There are no restrictions on what kind of content is allowed other than underage characters. However, please be respectful and use warnings for graphic content. (To clarify, sexual content doesn't count as graphic content per se. Graphic content warnings are more for things that might be triggering or offensive. And sex scenes are allowed anywhere, but if you're doing back and forth boning for more than a handful of posts in a big public IC thread, a mod is going to slap you and tell you to go make a broom closet or something.)

Usernames like "Dickgirl69" will not be allowed. This is an adult site, but keep it classy.

Multiple accounts are allowed for character accounts only. All character accounts must be linked back to your main account as a sub-account. For more information on character accounts, go here. Any multiaccounts will be merged if found, and may warrant additional punishment if they are being abused to incite drama.

Don't be a dick. That is the most sacrament of tenants as far as we're concerned. You don't have to like or agree with everyone, but you do have to be respectful and play nicely or not at all. If we determine that you are being a dick, you will be punished as the administration sees fit- up to and including permanent banishment.

Rules-lawyering won't work in your favor, so don't try it. In our books, the spirit of the law is more important than the letter. If we tell you something is bad for the community or doesn't fit with our vision of the site, you need to listen even if you don't see anything specifically saying it's against policy. If you disagree when the Administration determines that something is an issue, tough titties. There are other roleplay forums on the web. That said, we do our best to be fair and consider all factors when making administrative decisions.
